The Iowa Pork Industry Center has scheduled a Pork Quality Assurance Plus 3.0 advisor certification session during the 2017 World Pork Expo in Des Moines.

Iowa Pork Industry Center at Iowa State University continues to work with industry professionals in offering Pork Quality Assurance Plus 3.0 advisor certification opportunities, including a newly scheduled session for Tuesday, Feb. 7.
 

Just a handful of spots remain in the Dec. 14 PQA Plus 3.0 Advisor certification session in Ames. People who would like to attend need to get their applications in soon because there is no walk-in option.
 

To help meet industry need, Iowa Pork Industry Center at Iowa State University has added one more Pork Quality Assurance Plus 3.0 advisor certification session on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

In an effort to protect human and animal health from the rise of antibiotic resistance, the Food and Drug Administration has issued new guidelines that will regulate medically important antibiotic use in animal feed.

To help meet industry need, Iowa Pork Industry Center at Iowa State University has added one more Pork Quality Assurance Plus 3.0 advisor certification session on Aug. 26.

The Iowa Pork Industry Center at Iowa State is offering seven Pork Quality Assurance Plus 3.0 certification sessions beginning in mid-April. Because the content of this newly revised program has changed significantly, advisors who are currently certified also must successfully complete a 3.0 session if they wish to remain certified.

Dr. Christopher Rademacher joined the faculty at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine as the Swine Extension Veterinarian in December. He joins Dr. Jan Shearer, dairy, and Dr. Grant Dewell, beef, on the ISU Extension and Outreach veterinarian team. Shearer and Dewell are also Iowa State faculty.
